One year ago today, I received an e-mail from Katy asking what contractions felt like...of course she was working in Decatur and wasn't supposed to be. The customer I was waiting on at the time wanted to leave because he thought I needed to go get Katy. It was rather charming actually. He still asks about my sweet nephew each time he is in. Anyway, back to Mr. Eli Charles. He was welcomed into the world on March 1st at 4:09 p.m. It has been an absolute JOY watching Eli venture through his first year of milestones. We are all waiting patiently for him to take those first few steps...he is so close!
In honor of his first birthday, we celebrated in true Mickey Mouse style this weekend...check out that shirt Katy made him!

He wasn't sure what to do with his cake. Chris finally just let him bite into it!
So far all the boys have been super neat cake eaters on their first birthdays.
Maybe Riley will break that streak this summer?
