Our Ri turned five! The birthday bonfire didn't happen because of the excessive heat, but he did get a bonfire/camping cake, plus lots of fun with family and friends and on his birthday, lunch at Fujiyama. He also got all his favorites: tea log, dirt dessert, little cups of ice cream, hot dogs, watermelon on a stick and orange chips! When you have good company and all your favorite foods, what more can you ask for on a birthday?

Baseball is everything
At this moment in time, baseball is what they do, what we watch and what they talk about. The homerun derby was a highlight to their week! Next year, Brody is making plans to play baseball here in town and with the park district so he can play more than one day a week. I think I might need to invest in a better lawn chair before next summer.

Six Flags
Brody read enough minutes at home that he received a free ticket to Six Flags through the school. We drug our feet about going, but we really did have a fun day. The boys' favorite ride was the log ride...they would have just kept riding over and over again. I sat out their last venture on the ride...and used the water cannons to spray them when they went by! Best use of my money all day!! Their faces were priceless as they innocently waved at me as I fired the water cannon.
