Baby "Peony" has arrived!

Cohen was right all along...he just knew he was going to have a sister!  Baby Girl is still not named, but they are working on it.  She arrived at 7:33 a.m. this morning and weighed in at 7 pounds 7 ounces and was 19 1/4 inches long.  All are doing well and hopefully resting for the evening by now.  Hopefully Grampy and Cohen are sleeping by now too.  Cohen fell asleep late in the day and woke up around 7:00 ready to eat and watch movies...it was a BIG day for the BIG brother. 

Buying little girl clothes could become by new hobby for awhile!

Santa Claus 2011

Brody was mesmerized when Santa walked through our door.  His eyes got huge and he smiled from ear to ear.  However, eventually the magic wore off and he asked us if Santa was really Uncle Sherm??  I guess we can't get anything past him! 

 Riley started to scream the moment Santa stepped foot in our house.  He eventually worked up to standing by Brody.  When it was time for Santa to hop in his sleigh and go home, Riley finally gave him a hug. 

So now, we are ready for Christmas!  Let's just hope the flu bug has vacated our house...

Brody B is Three!

At 3:36 pm today, Brody turned THREE!  He woke up to balloons and streamers in lots of door ways.  Below is B peering through to find us this morning.

 A group of his people, as he calls them, came to help celebrate this evening.

 We had another round of blowing out candles...he prefers to tackle them one at a time. 

This morning he told me he wanted a REAL Buzz Lightyear...not one of those pretend little ones, but a real talking Buzz.  Well his world might just be complete for awhile!

  I have a lot of funny Brodyisms to document, but for now I better get clean sheets and towels in the dryer in case we need them later.  Riley decided he wanted to be bumped up to the center of attention this evening and has vomited a couple times since he went to bed.  He is resting peacefully beside me so maybe it was just something he ate?  Let's hope!  Sorry 'people' who were here if it's the stomach flu!



Brody's 3rd Birthday Party

What a busy weekend we have had!

Saturday was Brody's 3rd Birthday Party at noon and Grandma Yakey's Surprise 90th Birthday Party in the evening.  Today we attended two Christmas's for Kurt's side of the family.  We are all tired and haven't rested well all weekend.  For instance, last night at 1:00 a.m., Brody was 'rested' and ready to work on his new engine downstairs.  Yawn...

 Aunt Jody made a Sheriff Woody cake....Toy Story 3.  Brody even got his very own Woody from Riley and Mr. Potato Head and Bullseye from Eli.  Bullseye and Woody are tucked in with him right now.  Woody has top honors because he right by Brody's head and got his own blankie!

I asked B as I was tucking him Saturday night which toy was his favorite.  His reply, 'all my new toys are my favorite!"  Thankfully they all didn't have to sleep with him.  I'd still be tucking stuff in!  

Thanks to all our guests for making the trip to our house and to Aunt Jody for the yummy cake and cupcakes.

riley is very into practicing his deer grunt so he can start hunting soon.  i'm not sure kurt is game for that though? i don't know why?

cookies with bones

Last Friday, Grammy graciously accepted our invite to bake cookies and candies for Christmas.

Riley wasn't much help, but Brody was right there in the action.  He found some sprinkles in the shape of gingerbread men, but decided they were bones instead.  The cookies he got a hold of have a healthy dose of 'bones'!

cohen told me he and brody aren't friends, they are best friends.  sometimes he says he is brody's big brother too.  hopefully this friendship lasts a lifetime!

28 pound Riley at 16 months!

And as of today, he has a double ear infection and is full of snot.

brody was out of sorts because will was supposedly smooshing him?!  will's a peanut so i didn't have much sympathy.  will michelle and katy add to this growing group of boys?  anyone want to place a wager?

29 days until Christmas

Brody is our right hand man.  He kept hopping of the chair, running around, checking the tree and then coming back.   Everytime we get home, he runs in to make sure the big tree is still there. 

 riley is entranced by trees...if he continues with his sneaky ways, he will have all the ornaments off the trees that he can reach and tucked away in his secret hiding spots.  we have been missing a cordless phone for a month, thanks to him!
