He didn't seem to mind heading to Julie's for his first day at all.

I even handled it okay too.

Happy Birthday Love!

Yep, that's a picture of a whole chicken.  I'm going to try and figure out how to cut it up and fry it tomorrow.  I will probably end up with pieces you aren't supposed to have.  I learned many culinary skills from my Granny - like the art of making pie crust with LARD, but never learned the whole chicken cutting thing.  Anywho, I think I better go do some research before I butcher the chicken beyond recognition.  My mom and I are also making homemade donuts!  Talk about a day of fried food.

Oh and Kurtie is THIRTY tomorrow!!!

Riley and Maggie

Riley and I visited with Maggie and her mom Tracy today.  They are just a little over six weeks apart.  I think Riley is so tiny compared to Brody, but he seemd like a giant next to tiny Maggie.  She is definitely a growing girl though and gained back to her birth weight in her first week of life!  Thanks for letting us visit girls.

Harvest

Grampy and Brody in the 'Ombine'. 

We talk about the 'Ombine' several times a day.  He always wants to go 'ide' which means ride!  Grampy, which equals 'Peces' in Brody lingo, is a hot topic too, right up there with Dad and Riley. 

Dig, digs are also a very important part of our days as well as Choo-Choo (Thomas)!

Riley and I just hang out in the car while Brody rides.  He usually is full of smiles or studies the situation with great concentration.

These boys love to vacuum!  Cohen even gets down on his belly so he can get under chairs, tables, etc.

Laundry

It was very quiet at Grammy's and then we heard the dryer door open and Brody said, "Hallo BeBe!"  As we peered around the corner, Kurt was sure we would find Cohen in the dryer and Brody waving through the window at him, but alas, they were just giving the dryer a once over for Grammy.

Although, I really feel they were having this conversation...

'Why don't you crawl in Cohen.  It would be lots of fun and you could go round and round like the fan!  You know how much you like fans!' 

'Remember how Grammy takes our shoes off when we are on her furniture.  I bet she feels the same about her dryer, so you should get in Brody because I have my shoes on.'

Hmm...which laundry cycle would be best for a toddler?

Buh-Bye Mom!

Brody packed up Kurt's lunch box with treasures from around the house and started towards the door saying Buh-Bye Mom.

His shoes go in the basket beside him and he will put them away if asked.  He also will collect our shoes, sometimes from our feet, and put them in the basket.  Gotta love a tidy, efficient kid!

He had been smiling right before I started filming...guess he didn't want to share his smiles with everyone.

SPLASH!

The pu-pu which is Brody lingo for the pool. 

 He loves all slides, especially if you get to SPLASH at the bottom!

Just so you know, he also likes to drive thru mud puddles and say SPLASH and immediately ask for more!

Splashing in the bath tub is yet another favorite thing and then he will say something in Brody lingo about mom being drenched with water and end with a laugh.
