She and her cousin were playing dress-up before she came to visit Riley and Brody.  She and her mommy brought us two nights worth of dinner.  Much appreciated and night one of dinner was much enjoyed!

Beep, Beep!

Good Morning!  Not to jinx ourselves, but we had a fabulous night last night.

Uncle Chris, Aunt Katy, and Eli gifted Riley this sweet little outfit.

Riley's First Weekend

Brody was thrilled to get to play with Buddy (aka Cohen).

Eli was happy to get to lay around and kick.

Riley wasn't so thrilled to have to take a bath.

We were brave and let Brody 'hold' Riley.  Brody had to get up close and personal and check him out.

When we it was time to leave Grammy and Grampy's this weekend, Brody made sure to motion to Riley to come here.  He didn't want to leave his brother behind.  So, I think that's a sign that Brody has adjusted well to his new found brotherhood.

The nurse visited on Friday and Riley is already starting to gain his weight back.  He is eating, sleeping and pooping, just like a newborn should.  So all is well here.  Now only if they would come fix our cable...

This was our last photo before we left the hosptial and ventured into the world of parenting two kids!

Riley has so far, knock on wood, been a super easy baby to care for.  He wakes up and looks around several times a day between napping and eating.  Today is the first day Brody has been home all day and although I have napped, Kurt has not.  Kurt and Brody are grocery shopping right now.  Should be interesting to see what they come home with!

With all the baby gear out, Brody has found interesting places to hang out...like here in the base of the bassinet!

BABY BIBLE #2

It's a BOY!
Riley William Bible was born at 8:28 AM! He weighs 7 lbs 12 oz and is 20 in. long. Kurt, Jennifer, Brody, and Riley are all doing well. I hear Brody is sitting on Jen's lap eating cheerios and drinking her water.

Brody's Weekend Highlights.

I'm nesting.  I have a list in the kitchen that I want to complete before baby arrives.  Kurt is probably tired of my constant project list, but I know how little I accomplished while home with Brody.  So, must get all kinds of fun stuff wrapped up this week.  Kurt and mom are reupholstering a couch for the upstairs playroom as I type! 

I have been asked several times, by men mind you, when my vacation starts? 
Meaning, when does your maternity leave start? 

Just clarifying that maternity leave is not vacation at all.  So happy to have the time at home with 'Reed The Bible', but it's not going to be a vacation of any sorts.

Brody climbed up to the counter yesterday and helped himself to a cookie.  I guess the little nibble I gave him wasn't enough.
