Corky & Butters visit for the afternoon!

'Great Cousin' Courtney and Garett spent the afternoon cuddling Mr. Brody. Garett even got a smile out of Brody!

Hangin' with the Helen's of the family!

Great Aunt Helen walked across for a quick squeeze.
Great-Great-Grandma Helen Bible stopped by for a quick squeeze too!

I actually wore something besides a sleeper today too. I didn't really want to cooperate for a picture though.

Brody John Robert Bible

Here are a few sneak peeks of Baby Brody. I am working on putting together Brody's very own shutterfly site. I will post the link as soon as it is ready. In the mean time, here's a few pictures of the handsome little guy. :)

Happy Birthday Great-Grandma Yakey!

Today the matriarch of the family is 87 years young!
This summer, Grandma purchased a rocking love seat so she could hold one great-grand baby and lay the other beside her! Cohen and Brody will have to coordinate their social schedules and go visit soon.

Brody John Robert Bible has arrived!!

Yesterday at 3:36 p.m., we welcomed little Brody into the world. He weighed in at 7 pounds 11 ounces and is 21 inches long. Mom, Dad, and Brody are all doing well. Because we couldn't decide on a middle name, Brody just got two of them....John after his Grampy John and Robert after his Great-Grandpa Bible. Aunt Katy is in charge of posting pictures, so stay tuned!

Today is my last day of work...

Hallelujah! No more driving in these yucky weather conditions.

Katy is all set up to be a contributor to the blog, so she will be posting pictures when ever 'Billy Bob' arrives! I suppose it's time I seriously consider packing a bag for myself...

Still no baby...

Going back to the doctor Monday!

16 December 2008

Back to the doctor tomorrow...

I'm still working. My house is almost clean, so baby is 'allowed' to come anytime after tonight I think. Many thanks to Courtney for helping clean!!

Getting Even and Spreading Holiday Cheer!

This was our first anniversay gift from Chris and Katy!
I despise yard ornaments...
So, we have waited to pay them back until they had their own home...
Katy just mentioned the other evening at dinner that they had given us a gnome and we had to give them something better than that. Well. I think we succeeded!
Katy despises blow up Christmas decorations...

I just happened to be on the phone with her when they came down the street today and saw Santa waving like crazy to them. Kurt and I were also upstairs watching them drive down the street too and a good laugh was had by all. Who knows what we have set ourselves up to receive in return, but oh so worth it at this point!
Merry Christmas Chris and Katy!!

Visiting Drew Enoch.

Yesterday afternoon, I picked up Gabrielle at her Grandma's house. I was greeted with a huge hug, which is rather unusual. We picked Allison up at work, had a little lunch at 'Old McDonald's' and we were off to see Drew and Tracy.
Drew is such a sweet little boy. At almost four weeks old, he is weighing in around eight pounds and compared to holding Cohen, who is probably around 14 pounds, he seemed like such a feather weight.

Gabrielle & Drew
Gabrielle took time out of her busy schedule at Tracy's to hold Mr. Drew.
I'm positive that Gabrielle was Drew's first visitor to wear sparkly high heels her entire visit. This kid loves to be without socks year round and can do more in a pair of heels than most adults. She prepared all of us a lovely picnic, including Drew, while we there and in her spare time played photog. Below is one of her pictures...

38 weeks and counting...

Kurt's comment: 'One hot mama!'

34 week sonogram...

Although the sonograms are already 4 weeks old, you still can get an idea of what the kid looks like. Baby's hand/arm is by his or her face, but the sonogram makes it look like it's without a hand...something about the angle she was taking the sonogram from. We can verify that there are two hands in there though! Our sonogram last Friday didn't leave us with any stellar pictures, but baby was measuring in the 51st percentile. They were estimating baby's weight that day to be just over 6 pounds. Back to the doctor again in the morning for our 38 week check...

Happy Cohen!

Progress in 'Billy Bob's' room...

Bro-in-law Justin working hard or hardly working?
Bro-in-law Chris sporting two sweet shades of denim! Shouldn't poke fun because he was working hard!

Our room, which is much larger than the picture lets on, looking towards my, I mean our closet/dressing room. Our room is painted Grassland, which is a grayish green, not minty likes it appears in the picture.
{I'm sure my interior designer sisters love my description of the paint}
'Billy Bob's' room, which is missing a brown stripe yet. There are two lovely windows to the right as well.
Kurt put the last coat of urethane on this morning, so hopefully by the time the house airs out today and tomorrow, we can sleep at home tomorrow night. Not that my parents haven't been more than accomodating, but I miss our bed. It's much taller than the one we are using at mom's, so in the middle of the night I can just kind of roll out of bed instead of hoisting this large and in charge body out of bed to trot (okay so maybe I waddle a bit) to the potty!
