The Tooth Fairy

His first tooth is out!  He was the last one in his class to lose a tooth, so he was so excited it came out before school ended.

Spot, the dog

Not that long ago, Riley thought all dogs would eat him.  Spot has helped change his opinion of dogs!  He also sits and guards the door here when there aren't many folks around, so he has softened my take on animals, too.

The result of a hard days work...

Grampy and his girls

The folks are celebrating!

Today the parents celebrate an anniversary...39 years!  We helped them celebrate on Sunday with a Fujiyama dinner.

The kids love that place!  Brody was so pleased with himself when he caught a bite of chicken in his mouth that our chef launched his way.  Grampy was unsure going in and according to his last text from across the grill, I think he left unsure, too!
Happy Anniversary to you two!!

Snow!

The boys love snow.  I kind of like to scoop snow.  So in the midst of all the sickness in our house, we escaped to the outside for a few minutes of winter wonderland fun!  And now they want more snow when they are healthy!

Always be prepared!

Basketball

The night before the stomach virus hit our house a couple weeks ago, we took the boys to watch their cousin play in a high school basketball game.  Riley got pointers on how to dress and they both picked up some moves while watching.  We have played basketball every night since then, except for the nights that were filled with fevers and buckets for catching the goods that exited their stomachs.  We hope this weekend is a healthy one in this house and in yours, too!

National Lutheran's Schools Week

Monday, Ri and I helped serve lunch.  While I was washing dishes, he sat and watched the BIG kids.  He really wanted to just be one of them..
Tuesday was Class Color Day...B wore Illini Orange!
Wednesday was Career Day.  Brody was a construction worker, although he reminds he still doesn't have a plan for when he grows up.  Ri was a working guy, you know, mom, like Daddy, Grampy and Uncle Dave.  They also were paired with big kids for some reading fun.
Today was pajama day and crazy hair day!

Tomorrow is Roller Skating!  A first for the boys...

For the record...

His eye had an unfortunate meeting with the end of a large pipe wrench.  I was not involved!
